UBImedical is now a member of RIERC

The Network of Business Incubators of the Central Region of Portugal – RIERC – was created in 2007 under the Entrepreneurship and Business Council Incubation of the Center / Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Center (CEC / CCIC). RIERC is a regional network, integrated into the innovation ecosystem, which proposes policies and tools to boost incubators, contributing to the definition and implementation of regional and national strategies for the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation, with a strong connection to the scientific and technological sectors. RIERC’s incubators assume an active role in promoting entrepreneurship and creating value and employment in the territory in which they operate, particularly by supporting the creation of academic start-ups and spin-offs.
On the 4th of October, four new members of RIERC were accepted, and UBImedical was among them. UBImedical’s presence in this meeting encompassed a presentation of the incubator of the University of Beira Interior itself and a presentation of our project – BIO-ALL. This project gathered much interest as it is perfectly in line with the purpose of RIERC, as BIO-ALL’s ambition is to accelerate knowledge and competences to boost innovation and entrepreneurship in the BIOHEALTH sector.
